Portal Films is a small film-editing company headed by freelance video editor, Stephen Roberts. It was founded in November 2001, when Stephen decided to re-edit footage taken by the videographer at his wedding in August 2001.

Stephen's love for films began to grow when he was very young. In 1996, he became a member of a small amateur film group in his home country of Wales. 8 Ball Films produced a number of short films which were written, filmed, and edited by the group's members.

While Stephen was an actor in this group, he tried his hand at production when he wrote and directed a short film called "The Final Tomorrow" in 1998.

Stephen is the primary video editor at Portal Films. He is responsible for all aspects of the business, including all editing using Adobe Premiere, camera work using DV (digital video), and direction. His wife, Kara, is the primary art director.

Portal Films is based out of Fairfax, VA.
