I went expecting this movie to be bad. But it did not prepare me for how bad. Packing a movie with action does not make up for lines being said so woodenly and with no emotion.
Of all the actors, only two really stood out. Christopher Eccelston stood out as the bad guy, something he always does well and Jonathan Price was very convincing in the small roll as the president.
Most of the actors were just going through the motions. About half way through the film it feels like they realised how bad it was going to be and they start going over the top to make fun of how bad the film is to make it a comedy.
Now I will not say it was all bad the special effects and action scenes were very well choreographed but it was just not enough to save the film. I thought it was enjoyable just because the film was so bad that it was funny, but I don't think that was really what the makers were going for.
One last thing, as my favorite web comic pointed out, Joe is not a verb no matter how many times you try to use it as one.
