This movie turned out to be very different than I expected. The trailer made you think it was a documentary style film about the separation about a race of aliens trapped on earth. The movie did start this way. But as the film went on it became more of a normal narrative movie.

Without giving too much away, the film has a big apartheid message in the first half and in the second half it becomes a tale of redemption.

It was extremely well shot and I am warning it is a lot more gory than the trailer lead me to believe. The effects are very realistic and it makes some of it even more disturbing.

The acting was first rate even though most of the cast are newcomers to Hollywood pictures. For the directors first major motion picture, I am very impressed and will be looking out for his next film.

Definitely worth watching but if you are squeamish it may be best to do so on an empty stomach.
