| The best pizza in Connecticut, go try it.
That about sums up this restaurant. Really I would stop, but it would make for a very short review. So I had better pad it out a little. ;)
Little Rendezvous does not look like much from the outside, and is really just a little take-out pizza place. You can eat there as they have several tables, but most people take their pizza home. When you enter the restaurant, you walk past the seating area and down a little ramp to the cash register. From there, you can look directly into the kitchen and see the pizzas being made and placed into the more than 100 years old brick oven.
The oven, I believe, is at least 50 percent responsible for the pizza being so good. It is always thin and crispy. Paul, the owner and chef, only uses the best ingredients, you won't find any cheap fatty sausage at this restaurant.
Words really can not do Little Rendezvous justice - the only thing you can do is go there and eat. Once you have, you will not look at another pizza place in the area again.
