| After many hit and misses we have finally found a great Chinese restaurant for take out. Jade Garden is extremely reasonable and the food is awesome.
Jade Garden has the most varied selection of any of the Chinese restaurants in the area, with a large vegetarian selection, including General Tso's Tofu. Even though I'm not a vegetarian, I have been known to order it on more than one occasion.
One of the highlights of this restaurant is the fact that the kitchen is very open. While waiting for your order, you can watch it being prepared. It is great fun to watch your food being cooked right before your eyes.
The restaurant also makes its own duck and spicy mustard sauces. I should warn the faint of palate that the mustard should be used sparingly as it is particularly strong. Just the way I like it.
The restaurant is located on a strip mall off Route 44 in Manchester CT and is definitely a diamond in the rough. It has a dilapidated store front but once you are inside you are always greeted with a friendly hello.
